Job Application Questions Turn Creative

As the intense job search continues, it has come to my attention that many companies have started to become more creative in the questions they ask their applicants. There is one question in particular that has stood out the most, which is to write an acrostic poem about yourself.

An acrostic poem is when letters of a line spell out a word. Usually, the first letters of the line spell out the message.

Here is what I've created thus far.

Brooke

B is for bright, brimming with intelligence

R is for being reliable, a colleague you can count on

O is for open-minded, receptive to new ideas

O is for orderly, ever organized

K is for knowledgeable, well-versed in matters

E is for exuberant, a bubbly presence

When putting the acrostic poem together it seemed best to write copy that exemplified my personality traits and soft-skills in the workplace.

I’m curious to know what your take is on the question and if you have been asked it before. If you have, what did you write? If not, what would you write?
